Cranford Schools Will Be Closed on Nov. 7
Power outages in some schools along with the approaching nor'easter have prompted officials to close schools again on Nov. 7.
Cranford Public Schools will remain closed on Nov. 7 due to continued power outages in some of the facilities as a result of last week's super storm. Schools have been closed since last week, ever since Sandy tore through the region, knocking down trees and power lines and causing widespread power outages. Although power has been restored in some school buildings, Superintendent of Schools Gayle Carrick said there are still some outages that have led to the decision to cancel classes again tomorrow. "Power restoration continues throughout Cranford.
