Additional Credit Card Fee Begins in New Jersey

Consumers who use credit cards to pay for purchases may be subject to an additional 4 percent retailer fee under new plan.

New Jersey residents using credit cards to pay for purchases may be digging a bit deeper into their wallets beginning Sunday, according to a report on CBSlocal.com. The report says retailers may start adding an additional fee of up to 4 percent if a credit card is used to pay for a purchase. Retailers who want to do this - and it's silly to think they should be, or will be, the only ones to bear this burden at the end of the day - they should charge consumers only 1 1/2 or 2%... not the entire fee,   more ›
