Cops said a 2-year-old child was inside a vehicle driven by an alleged drunk driver that crashed into a utility pole Friday night. Cranford Police charged Alyson Longe, of Vermont, with driving while intoxicated and careless driving after she crashed her 2007 Jeep into a pole on Springfield Avenue. She was injured in the crash and taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway with non-life threatening injuries. The incident occurred just after 9p.m. Longe, 37, was arrested by Officer Kelly Rieder.
