VFW Taking Christmas Donations for Adopted Family
Ladies Auxiliary adopts a family that lost everything in Hurricane Sandy. The VFW Post in Cranford is accepting Christmas gifts and Toys R Us gift cards starting today.
We would like to announce that we have "adopted" a family from Union Beach that was directly affected by Hurricane Sandy. This family lost everything and is currently living in a camper in their driveway. We have intercepted their children's Christmas lists on their way to Santa and need your help making this a Christmas to remember. The items on their wish lists will be part of our giving tree down at the VFW post, please stop by starting Monday and pick something out to buy for their 12-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter. We are also asking for gift cards to Toys R Us that we can put together and use to buy the more expensive items that they have asked for.
