Man Killed After Parkway Accident in Cranford
A 21-year-old driver was involved in a crash in Cranford and was later killed attempting to cross the parkway lanes on foot.
A 21-year-old man was killed just before 1a.m. on Monday following an accident in Cranford on the Garden State Parkway. The man, identified as Luis Sarmiento of Riverside, by the Star-Ledger, was allegedly crossing the parkway when he was struck by a vehicle going south, according authorities. Unconfirmed reports that night suggest that police were initially alerted to "a body found in the middle of the road," report around 12:50a.m. near mile market 139.7 in Kenilworth.
