Man, 81, Arrested For Shooting a Deer: 2012 Year in Review
An elderly Cranford man reportedly took a shot at a deer over the summer and was taken into custody for discharging a firearm.

This story originally appeared July 25, 2012. Cranford Police took an 81-year-old man into custody on July 22 after he allegedly shot a deer outside his home on Madison Avenue. August Savoy, 81, was arrested at 1:44 p.m. and charged with a disorderly persons offense as well as violating a township ordinance prohibiting the discharge of firearms.
