Police Find Baby in Burglary Suspect's Car

Cranford Police arrested three Roselle men near a home on High Street this week.

Police probably weren't expecting three men and a baby when they made arrests in an alleged burglary attempt Wednesday morning on High Street. Isaiah Thomas and Cory Collins both 19, and Calvin Steed, 25 — all from Roselle — were taken into custody and charged with a series of burglary related crimes. Cranford Police Officer Spencer Durkin and Sergeant Guy Patterson found one of the suspects sitting in a white Chevrolet Impala with a 14-month old baby girl in a car seat, said police. It's not clear what relation the toddler had to the suspects, but she was taken to police headquarters and released to a family member.
