  Clark Kara Alongi Investigation Ongoing, State Police Release Her 911 Call There are still more questions than answers when it comes to Kara Alongi, the 16-year-old Arthur L. Johnson junior who tweeted "There is somone in my hour ecall 911" before leaving her home voluntarily on Sept 30. Alongi was found two days later when she called 911 from a rest stop near exit 1 on the Turpike. In that call (which Patch recently obtained from State Police), Alongi maintains she had been abducted, stating a black man forced her from her home. Clark Police are still investigating where Alongi went and why and have yet to close the case. 9/11 Remembered, Commuter Punches Train Conductor — Top News in Union County Patch Towns This Week

In mid-July, Allison Lowenstein, 21, of Westfield, was hit by a motorist who fled the scene while she was jogging in Harriman State Park, NY. Countywide The Union County Homicide Task Force has been continuing work on the investigation into the death of Vera Pecoraro while also working two other active homicide investigations in the county – the shooting death of a Linden teen and the stabbing of a 17-year-old during a large fight in Rahway. Clark Matthew Dorsi, lawyer for Michael and Theodore Pecoraro, says the two are fully cooperating with the investigation into their mother's homicide. Clark An elderly woman was found dead in her home in Clark on Saturday evening, July 7. The cause of death for the Rolling Hill Way resident has not yet been released. NJ.com reports that a woman was found dead in a Clark motel on June 21. Stephanie Cunningham, who formerly battled drug addiction, had returned to Union County to testify in a murder trial. Police and prosecutors are awaiting the results of toxicology tests but found no signs of foul play at the scene.
