No cicadas on Spruce Street in Cranford yet. Where are they? Did the Grubex do them in? Sorry, little fellers.

I believe the correct phrase is "lopped off". Only after they are lopped off can they be "lobbed". Also, I doubt the cost of lobbing will ever be covered under any healthcare plan. Lobbing is strictly elective.

They might just have better values than the current population.

One could argue, BellairBerdan, that majorities in towns, even counties, have already devolved quite a lot with taxpayers' money. So, why throw good money after bad? Time was when the "melting pot" model of society worked beautifully. Everyone accepted a core value system, at least in public. What they did privately was their own business. Now, in the name of tolerance, there is no core value system. Conflicting and mutually exclusive views are shoved in each others' faces. This is supposed to create a tolerant society? The rise of Sharia law can be directly linked to the West's abandonment of the core values of yesteryear. This cannot be dismissed as crazy talk by any reasonable person. As long as people are allowed to practice religion, or even adhere to a personal code of ethics, this tolerate-everything model of society will never work.
The fact that taxpayers' money is being used in an attempt to create an amoral generation is already a disaster and an affront to many people.

As you recommended, BellairBerdan, I read up on Ramapo and am now getting back to you. Thank you for proving my point: It would be better if the government were not running the education industry. How about if the central government keep its sticky paws out of our wallets and lives in the first place. Families and local communities can do better. I am advocating that NO government money (federal, state or local) go to education. The communities — whether they be ethnic or religious or whatever — that value education will do a fine job of educating, and no taxpayer has to feel he is supporting something contrary to his beliefs or lack thereof. The communities that do not value education can drag their knuckles all they want, but they shouldn't have this knuckle-dragging subsidized. Citizens ought to be allowed to direct precisely where their money is invested in society. Too much is wasted presently.

sp resident, who is asking you to pay for private schools? Why aren't you protesting having to pay for government schools? I'd guess you shop at big box stores, too. Yeah, the answer is centralization. Everybody fork over all your property and liberties now, sp resident here thinks the answer is communism.

WPIX, I believe, used to air a spot, "It's 10 PM, do you know where your children are?" You can't have it both ways. Either you revere values like temperence, modesty, and humility and stay safe and respectable or ... you go for the jerk-of-the-month award.

Why should taxpayers who do not use public schools be required to fund them? There is a distinction between private schools and schools that prepare students for ministry. There is no reason to eschew private schools. A lot of Catholic parochial school alumni, for instance, don't even practice the faith!

What kind of 21 year-old dates a 39 year-old? Maybe this is karma happening.
