A former Union resident from the Class of 70 was severely burned with 3rd degree burns over most of her body in a freak accident at her Sparta home. Joan Polny, 61, is in critical condition in St. Barnabus Burn Unit fighting for her life. She is not financially stable and has no health insurance.
