Bulldozers are on site at 555 South Ave. has they begin construction on a new community that will feature one- to three-bedroom apartments, according to the property owners, Woodmont Properties.
Apartments will range between 654 and 1,230 square feet, but rents have not
been established as of yet, Regional Property Manager for Woodmont Properties
Marla Posley told Patch.
The community will also feature a fitness center, clubhouse, business center and gaming room.
During the initial stages of groundbreaking, wildlife from the area started to scatter to the homes behind the property, Mayor Tom Hannen said.
Lehigh Acquisition Corp. sold 555 South Avenue to Woodmont Properties following litigation that the lawyer representing Cranford on the Birchwood Development case was in some way connected to Lehigh.
