Justin Bonitatis Awarded Contract With Cage Fury Fighting

Submitted by Apex Wrestling School

Allstar Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Apex Wrestling School and Champion Athletes are proud to announce the professional mixed martial arts signing of Justin Bonitatis with Cage Fury Fighting Championships. Justin enters his first professional mixed martial arts match on June 21, 2014 at the Mennen Sports Arena in Morristown, NJ for Cage Fury Fighting Championships 36.

For the past two years he has been training at Allstar Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under head professor, professional boxer and 2nd Degree Renzo Gracie BJJ Black Belt Jamal Patterson. Justin also has discipline under Damion Logan and Matthew Wernikoff, head coach and owner of Apex Wrestling School and assistant manager and strength and conditioning coach of Champion Athletes, respectively.

Bonitatis, 26, attended Cherry Hill High School East from 2002-06, compiling a scholastic wrestling record of 125-20. Wrestling runs in the Bonitatis bloodline as his father, Ronnie, was a two-time district wrestling champion for Cherry Hill High School East in the 1970’s. Justin attended The College of New Jersey where he compiled a 138-16 record at 165 pounds, setting the second highest wins total in school history.

At TCNJ he captured three conference championships, was a three-time NCAA Tournament qualifier, two-time NCAA All-American and two-time NCAA Scholar All-American. After graduating from The College of New Jersey, Justin combined his passion for athletics and education by becoming a Physical Education and Health teacher at Cranford High School in Cranford, NJ.

He is also the assistant coach for the Cougars wrestling team, earning the honor of Assistant Coach of the Year in District 11 after just his third year.  Justin credits his appetite for success to all of his previous coaches, who helped positively push his limits on and off the wrestling mat. He vows that his competitive career is far from over as he has high expectations for himself in the near future:  “For me to say I'm excited for my June 21st professional MMA debut with CFFC, would be an understatement.

That being said, in MMA you must live in the present, not the future or the past. I pride myself on setting goals and working relentlessly to accomplish those goals. This is only the beginning...”  Justin is available for phone interviews upon request; contact Val Sisti for more information.
