Join The Patch Editors for 'Office Hours'

Ever since we came to town, Cranford Patch's Local Editors have been working to become your trusted source for community news and information. As we try even harder to be your go-to guide, we need you more than ever. So join our crew for "Office Hours" at 6:30 p.m. Thursday night at The Coffee Beanery in Garwood.

This session will allow us to answer any questions you might have and hear any suggestions that you have for us. We can't give you what you want and need unless you tell us what gets you fired up about Patch.

The exciting thing for us is that we ain't your parents' newspaper! We don't want you to curl up in your favorite chair, reading us on your iPad; we want you to get involved, get busy and get inspired to use Patch. Here's how we can work together to help you learn how to:

• WRITE A BLOG — it could be about the kids, the schools, the state of the state, your rare potato chip collection. If you've got an interest, a hobby, a passion, here's your chance to find an audience. 
• POST PHOTOS AND INFORMATION — scores from the kids' baseball or lacross games, the play-by-play from the ballet recital or the band concert.
• POST ANNOUNCEMENTS — from the book club, the over-60 club, the debate society or the blood drive — and everything in between.
• DOWNLOAD THE MOBILE APP — hard to believe, but you won't always be in front of your laptop, so let us show you how to use Patch from your smartphone.
• CONNECT WITH PATCH ON SOCIAL-MEDIA SITES — Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare or any of your favorites work for us, too, so keep us in the loop with what you're up to!

We want to keep delivering the news you need, the information you want and the fun stuff you love. But we want – and need – you to take an active role in shaping the way we cover your town, so don't be shy.
