2. Colorado Cafe in Watchung. This western-themed bar is hosting cover band The Nerds, a cover band that loosely bases its stage presence off an old Saturday night live skit. The four members dress and act nerdy, while also playing a lot of R&B and funk music.

3. Stage House Tavern in Scotch Plains. The four-piece blues and rock band No Xcuse is playing from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. tonight.
4. 16 Prospect in Westfield. Pianist Joe Regan is playing to patrons tonight for free from 8-11 p.m.

5. Open Mic Nights. Pick up an instrument and go strum in front of a microphone tonight at Azianne in Montclair. Signup starts at 6:30 p.m. and the event begins at 7 p.m. There is also another open mic with a $3 admission tonight at The Caberet Theatre in New Brunswick starting at 8 p.m.
