Free Bullying Prevention Program @ Springfield Barnes and Noble. Grades 1 Through 3

Wednesday July 30 at 3:00 PM in
the Springfield Barnes and Noble

Bullying can emerge
in early childhood. If bullying is overlooked or not stopped in the early years
it will grow and spread into adolescence and even adulthood.

Lorraine Sanchez
and Carol Blank, authors of Virgil: The
Bully from Cyberspace
and founders of Utterly Global Bullying Prevention
and Utterly Global Youth Empowerment will be presenting a free program for
parents and children in grades 1-3, on Route 22 and Hillside Avenue. Virgil: The Bully from Cyberspace, is
endorsed by Roscoe Orman, “Gordon” of Sesame Street and is being implemented as
an anti-bullying program in schools throughout the country.

While children
color and listen to the delightful and engaging story of Virgil’s first few
days on earth and at school, parents and caregivers will learn how to protect
their children and stop the trajectory of bullying before it takes hold by
learning to recognize pre-bullying behaviors.

Dr.Dan Olweus, recognized as a pioneer and
Founding Father of research on bullying problems advises, “It’s better to
intervene too early rather than too late.”
