On the Home Front--A Civil War Veteran's Home

The Cranford Historical Society will present “On the Home Front—A Civil War Veteran’s Home on Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 2:00-4:00pm at the Crane-Phillips House Museum, 124 North Union Avenue, Cranford NJ. 


 


Henry J. Phillips was the second owner of the Cranford Phillips House and was a veteran of the American Civil War.  Henry J. Phillips was a Private of the 8th Company of the 7th Regiment, New York State Militia.  Costume Docent will be on hand to explain how families coped while their relatives where away fighting in the American Civil War.
