The Great Courses are college-level courses on DVD taught by the most engaging professors that universities like Oxford, Stanford, Princeton, and Georgetown have to offer. The Cranford Public Library’s Great Courses collection contains more than 150 courses in science, literature, history, philosophy, business, religion, mathematics, fine arts, music, and better living. The Modern Scholar is a series of college-level courses on CD presented in lecture-style format. Taught by some of our nation’s most respected professors and scholars, Modern Scholar courses offer college subjects spanning the academic disciplines. From the natural sciences to religious studies, from politics to world history, this series offers courses in the subjects that fascinate you. The library’s collection contains more than 150 Modern Scholar lectures. Both the Modern Scholar CD and the Great Courses DVD sets circulate free for four weeks.
