Job Needed! 20 Years Experience in Print Publishing

Yes, this is another article from someone looking for a job.

I never thought I would be in this situation.  I've always "known" that I was a strong person and that no matter what I would be OK.  But I never thought I would be without a full-time job for so long. 4 years!  I'm just freelancing for now, creating flyers, helping a local newspaper with page layout and creating ads, but I really would love and need a full-time position.

I have been in Print Publishing for over 20 years.  Started out working for a Pre-Press company in Union as Print Production Assistant , then went to work for one of their clients in NYC, a magazine publisher.

My first position was Print Production Coordinator for 3 years, then I was promoted to Production Manager, and a couple of years after that to Production Director.  My department created/layed-out the classified pages and special sections for more than 12 magazines.  So I'm used to deadlines and craziness!

This was more than a job to me, this as my second home.  So when middle-management jobs were cut, mine as one of those to go.  Eventually the magazine division was sold to a competitor. I've never been one to move from job to job.  Never thought a job as a stepping stone in my career.  If I was happy in my job, that was all it mattered.

I am a loyal, hard-working, dedicated and creative person with a lot to offer!
Please share this with anyone who might be able to help, or if you have any constructive suggestions, please send them my way.  I would be very grateful!

I have a resume and references available to anyone interested.

Thank you!
