Public Safety & Nomahagen Deer Hunt

Is anyone else concerned that a Deer Hunt is in progress at Nomahagen in wooded areas where teens and tweens hang out and within close proximity of the playground, walking paths and parkside homes? This is much more than an animal rights issue, it's a public safety issue. Those who frequent the park have certainly noted that the deer have adapted to the surroundings, even learning to look both ways and wait before crossing the street! The presence of hunters with firearms in our community park, the risk of a gun-related wound or fatality and the hauling of bloody dead animals in front of kids somehow seems more ominous than the wildlife concerns!
