Cranford PD Cancels Flood Watch

The Cranford Police Department cancelled a flood watch for the Township.

The Cranford Police Department has cancelled a flood watch for the area due to the most recent information released from the U.S. National Weather Service, the department released in an alert.

"Things have quieted down for the moment. Showers fill back in by this evening with isolated thunderstorms possible, but total rainfall amounts are now forecast to be lower, generally 0.75-1.25'," the U.S. National Weather Service update stated.

Radars are now showing that threats of widespread and long duration of heavy rains have diminshed, therefore the Cranford PD cancelled the flood watch. However, Cranford PD warns residents that there could still be localized downpours and ponding of water on roadways for the latter part of the evening commute.
