Cranford Police Citizen Police Academy Accepting Applications

According to the Cranford Police Department: 

The Cranford Police Department will be holding the 5th session of the Citizen Police Academy beginning in September 2014.  The Citizen Police Academy is part of the ongoing effort by the Cranford Police Department to work together with the community and to develop lasting relationships with the citizens of Cranford.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and either live or work in Cranford.  Academy students will receive interactive classroom lectures and hands-on demonstrations encompassing many aspects of law enforcement, including computer crimes, narcotic enforcement, traffic stops, and juvenile laws.

Classes are two hours in duration and have been tentatively scheduled to meet Wednesday evenings beginning on September 24th and ending on November 5th.
