Police Blotter: Westfield Resident Arrested for Disorderly Conduct

Cranford Police activity for the week.

Tuesday, May 24th

  • Robert Basile, 32, of Brooklyn, NY, was arrested for an outstanding criminal warrant from Newark. Basile was processed and released after posting bail.

Thursday, May 26th

  • John Meek, 20, of Roselle Park, was arrested for possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and paraphernalia. Meek was stopped for inoperable tail lights, when Ptl. Steven D’Ambola observed a bag of suspected marijuana in the center console. Meek was released with a court date of June 1st.
  • Anthony Giordano, 55, of Florham Park, was arrested for contempt of court. Following a stop for a motor vehicle violation, Sgt. Eugene Perrotta discovered Giordano had an outstanding traffic warrant from Roxbury. He was released after posting bail.

Friday, May 27th

  • Naim Crossley, 27, of East Orange, was arrested for possession of less than 50 of marijuana, paraphernalia, and receiving stolen property. Crossley was stopped at a seatbelt enforcement checkpoint on the Garden State Parkway when Ptl. Brian Thomas discovered a sandwich bag of suspected marijuana hidden in Crossley’s backpack. Ptl. Thomas also discovered an outstanding warrant from Hillside. Crossley was released with a court date of June 1st, with a pending court date in the Hillside Municipal Court.
  • Richard Corbett, 32, of Cliffwood, was arrested for contempt of court. Following an investigation into illegal soliciting, Ptl. Spencer Durkin arrested Corbett on an outstanding criminal warrant from Newark. Corbett was released with a pending court date in Newark Municipal Court.

Sunday, May 29th

  • Dale Luckinson, 30, of Elizabeth, was arrested for contempt of court. Luckinson was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on the Garden State Parkway Southbound, when Ptl. John Rattigan discovered an outstanding traffic warrant from Patterson. Luckinson was released with a pending court date in the Patterson Municipal Court.

Monday, May 30th

  • Janine Connolly, 50, of Cranford, was arrested for resisting arrest and aggravated assault on an officer.  Ptl. John Rattigan responded to a disturbance call on Hillside Avenue and attempted to arrest Connolly. Connolly resisted attempts to handcuff her and attacked Ptl. Brian Wagner, biting him on the forearm. She was released with a court date of June 1st in the Union County Superior Court. Ptl. Wagner was treated at Overlook Hospital in Summit.
  • James Angelides, 41, of Westfield, was arrested for contempt of court. Ptl. John Rattigan arrested Angelides on an outstanding traffic warrant. He was released after posting bail.
