Police Make Two Separate DWI Arrests

Cranford police activity from September 16-21.

Cranford police made two driving while intoxicated arrests last week. Both followed traffic stops for faulty or unlit vehicle lights. Details below:

Friday, September 18:
Officer Robert Jordan stopped a vehicle on South and Centennial avenues at 3:10 a.m. for an unlit brake light and because the driver was not wearing his seat belt. Further investigation led to the arrest of driver Clifford Hainowski, 35, of Cranford for driving while intoxicated, failure to wear seat belt, and maintenance of lamps.

Sunday, September 20:
Officer Matthew Nazzaro stopped a vehicle on North Avenue at the Garden State Parkway North for unlit headlights. The driver Dawn Marsico, 33, of Paterson was arrested for driving while intoxicated, as well as refusal to submit to breathalyzer tests, and driving without headlamps.
