Police Seek Info in Four More Jan. Burglaries

Four burglaries occurred in the township between January 15-29.

UPDATE (February 9, 11:55 a.m.): Police have no suspects in the burglaries listed below. There have been no more burglaries since January 29.

The Cranford Police Department is seeking information regarding four additional residential burglaries that occurred in the township from January 15-29.

There were two burglaries reported in the College Estates area in the north part of Cranford on January 15. The suspect or suspects entered windows in the rear of the residences sometime between 6 and 11 p.m. when the residents were not home. Cash, jewelry and flat screen televisions were taken from one of the homes. Police say jewelry might have been taken from the other.

The January 19 burglary occurred sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 6:25 p.m. at an undisclosed location. The suspect or suspects entered the home through the basement window and took some coins. No one was home.

Cash and jewelry was taken from a home on the south side of Cranford on January 29. The burglary occurred between 3 p.m. and midnight. A suspect or suspects gained entry by prying open a rear sliding door. No one was home.

These incidents are in addition to a January 18 burglary in which a teenage girl helped police nab the alleged burglars and two burglaries that occurred on January 31 along the Cranford border in Westfield.
