Police Work To Determine Cause Of Blinking Light

DOT To Respond To Intersection

Police have responded to the corner of North Avenue and Eastman Street following reports of a possible malfunction of the traffic light at that intersection just after 7 p.m.

The light, which controls the flow of traffic at the busy intersection, began blinking unexpectedly.

"When power surges, interrupts, or goes out and comes back on the light defaults to flash. The state DOT has to reset the light," Detective Sgt. Gerard Quinn said.
