A History of Jazz with Trumpeter Gordon James

The Friends of the Cranford Public Library invite you to attend a “History of Jazz," which will be presented by trumperter and vocalist Gordon James. Mr. James, who will be accompanied on piano, will trace the history of jazz while touching upon the giants of the genre. The program will feature musical selections spanning the entire history of jazz. Mr. James has performed with the Thad Jones Mel Lewis Big Band, the Harry James Tribute Band, vocalist Bobby Caldwell, saxophonists Eric Kloss and Paul Winter, cellist David Darling, the Soul Survivors, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Angela Bofill, and Chuck Loeb.
