Union County College Announces Continuing Ed Open House

UCC hosts an open house featuring coursework on professional development and personal enrichment on Saturday, Sept. 15.

It's not just the kids who are headed back to school.

Union County College’s Division of Continuing Education will be hosting an Open House on the College’s Cranford campus on Saturday, September 15, highlighting non-credit fall classes for professional development or personal enrichment and you can also ask questions to class instructors and program staff.

For those looking for a new job, UCC offers more than 50 certificate programs in fields such as business, allied health, computers, interior design, child care, real estate, education, and more. Many of these certificate programs can be completed in less than a year.

A new certificate program in Mobile Marketing teaches about the fast-growing mobile market and ways to implement a mobile marketing program. This class will be offered online through UGotClass and Union County College. Another new program in Marketing Fundamentals teaches key marketing concepts and how to address new challenges in the marketplace. A third new certificate program, in CCNA Security, helps you prepare students for entry-level to wide area network security career opportunities, as well as for the CCNA security certification.

A wide range of personal enrichment courses are offered — from cooking to fitness, to how to use your iPad, Mac computer, and Android operated devices. Several new seasonal cooking classes will also be offered including a class on Thanksgiving Sides, Cooking from the Farmer’s Market, and Vegan Burgers and Sides.
