Canoe Races Launch Cranford's Fourth of July Celebration

Daylong festivities culminated with fireworks display at Nomahegan Park.

Cranford's annual Fourth of July celebration began Thursday with canoe races at the Canoe Club. Races were held for mother and father pairs, mother and child pairs and father and child pairs. There were also children's divisions and groups up to 21 years old.

The races were followed by the Firecracker 4-mile run and other activities throughout the day, culminating with a fireworks display at Nomahegan Park.
